Our Philosophy
At MRN our vision for children is to create an environment that inspires endless curiosity; for our teachers to nurture children’s ideas into incredible learning experiences and build strong relationships that create the bonds of the MRN family. We believe the MRN learning journey will ignite a life-long passion for discovery and high aspirations for our children.

At MRN we learn through play and follow all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) alongside our vision. To ensure overall effectiveness we follow the 3 I’s; Intention, Implementation and Impact. We use this tool to effectively analyse and reflect on our practice and children’s development.
Our Curriculum
The MRN approach is a tailored method to guide our educators to work with children and their families, as each child is viewed as full of intelligence, curiosity and interests, confident in constructing their own learning.

Our curriculum has its foundation on the Early Years Foundation Stage and on the famous educational approach ‘Reggio Emilia’. At MRN Nursery, through a play-based approach, we aim to provide a wide range of real-life experiences that would accompany the child for a lifetime.

Some of the key aspects we focus on are:

-The role of the child:
The child is encouraged to be a researcher & co-constructor of their own learning.

-The role of the educator:
Active listeners who inspire curiosity by researching & scaffolding new ideas and topics with the children.

-The role of the environment as a third teacher:
We have created a learning environment allowing children to explore ways of self-expression.

-Loose parts:
Open-ended resources which aim to develop children's imagination, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

We aim to create a ‘home away from home’ feeling. A homely and cozy environment that combines the outdoors with the indoors giving the opportunity to children to thrive and learn in their own unique way.

The role of the environment:
At MRN, we believe the environment for your child's learning is essential in developing their interest and learning about the exciting new world around them. This is why our nurseries have been carefully designed to create an atmosphere that fosters creative exploration, communication and real-life interactions and curiosity.

Our Approach & Features
At Magic Roundabout Nursery, we provide an inspiring, holistic start to your child's education. We nurture confident, curious, and compassionate lifelong learners by placing their interests and potential at the heart of everything we do.

Reggio Emilia
Children are seen as strong, capable learners. Our environment is the 'Third Teacher,' encouraging creativity and expression through "The Hundred Languages."

Family Partnership
We see parents as co-educators, offering flexible payment options (including installments and accepting all funded hours). We also provide a generous siblings discount.

Tailored Curriculum
We blend the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework with playful, purposeful activities. A dedicated Key Person ensures individualized support and progress.

Outdoor Learning
Our extensive outdoor space is a daily classroom. Children develop resilience and motor skills through gardening, den building, and hands-on nature exploration.

Nourishing Meals
Delicious, balanced meals and snacks are prepared fresh daily on-site. We cater to all dietary needs, teaching positive eating habits and independence.

School & Digital Readiness
We integrate the EYFS with targeted activities to build vital foundational literacy, numeracy, and PSED skills, ensuring a smooth transition to school

Healthy Meals & Nutrition

From weaning to feasting our varied meals and snacks are tailored to our tiny diners needs. Each meal is colourful, rich in flavours and textures from different cuisines reflecting the width of experiences of the wider world that we offer to our children.
Our freshly prepared meals by our experienced chefs are designed to support the nutritious needs that are vital for the children’s development and growth. No matter what your child’s dietary requirements are, we can ensure that we will offer a creative delicious alternative.
Our mealtimes are enjoyable social experiences which can promote a healthy approach to food that will accompany them in their future lives.
Safeguarding and child welfare

At MRN safeguarding encompasses all that we do, from our vigorous recruitment process to the systems in our buildings; child protection is a part of our daily nursery routine. You can be satisfied that your child’s welfare is our number one priority.

Our comprehensive set of Safeguarding policies cover areas from lone working to pick up and drop off procedures. Each of our nurseries has a ‘Designated Safeguarding Officer’ as well as a secondary staff member, one of whom will always be on-site throughout your child’s day. Whilst all MRN staff members are vigilant in their duty of care, it is the Designated person's responsibility to ensure staff members are up to date with the latest safeguarding updates, as well as to take the lead with any areas of concern.

Meet The Team

Klara Avgeri
Nursery Manager
Klara joined the company in 2017 after moving to London from Greece, where she studied Early Childhood Education. Since then, she gained her Level 3 qualification in childcare and progressed through various roles—from practitioner to Assistant Deputy Manager—while supporting several of our branches along the way. She’s passionate about creating a nurturing environment where children feel happy, supported, and free to explore. She strongly believes that building strong, trusting partnerships with parents is key to helping every child reach their full potential and developmental milestones.

Leona Williams
Deputy Manager
Leona holds a Foundation Degree in Early Years Education and brings over 25 years of experience working with children. She joined MRN in November 2024. Leona considers it a privilege to support children and their families during their early years, helping to guide them through their first steps into nursery life. Leona also values the unique perspectives children bring to everyday experiences, believing that through their interactions, we too can learn and find inspiration to plan meaningful, in-the-moment learning opportunities.
