What is your policy on discipline?

Every effort is made to encourage children to respect one another by creating guidelines on what is acceptable in the nursery. We aim to provide positive outlets for our children to share feelings of frustration and anger so that they can learn to cope with them develop self-discipline and respect for others. All our staff are trained to anticipate antagonistic situations so that they can redirect the child positively. With older children, staff will also take the opportunity to explain the situation on a one to one basis. MRN's discipline procedure is that of positive reinforcement and encouragement of good behaviour.
